We get it β you searched for a price, and you got an article instead. Here's why: any company that quotes your duct cleaning over the phone, before ever seeing your system, is guessing. We'd rather tell you exactly what drives the number up or down, then show up and give you a real one.
1. Number of Vents & Registers
A one-bedroom condo with 6 supply vents is a very different job than a 4-bedroom house with 18. More vents means more time, more equipment access points, and more to inspect thoroughly.
2. System Size & Number of Zones
Larger homes often run multi-zone HVAC systems β effectively two or three separate duct networks under one roof. Each zone needs its own pass.
3. How Much Buildup Is Actually in There
Light dust is a quick job. Years of neglected buildup takes longer. If we observe material that may require mold assessment, we'll recommend evaluation by an appropriately licensed professional rather than treating it ourselves. We won't know what your system needs until we look.
4. Accessibility
Ductwork tucked in an easy-access attic takes less time than a cramped crawlspace or a system with tight, hard-to-reach runs. Older South Florida homes in particular vary a lot here.
5. Bundling Dryer Vent With Air Duct Service
Most homeowners book both at once, which is usually more efficient than two separate visits β but it does add to the total scope of the appointment.
If a company gives you an exact number before setting foot in your home, that's not a good sign β it usually means the price goes up in person, or the "cleaning" is a rushed 15-minute pass regardless of what your system actually needs.
How We Actually Quote a Job
We inspect first, always for free. You get a plain-English explanation of what we found, photos if there's anything worth seeing, and one clear number before we touch a tool β no surprise charges once we're already in your attic.
Ready to find out what your home actually needs? Book a free inspection and we'll give you a real answer, not a guess.
